Help Ugandan LGBTQ+ folks evacuate
So, most people have heard about the extremely homophobic bill that was passed in Uganda, which, amongst other atrocious things, makes queerness punishable by death. Right now, there's an effort to evacuate LGBTQ+ Ugandans to safer nearby countries like Kenya. They need funds for bus tickets, as well as medical care for those who have been ill, tortured, and wounded. Here's the link to the fundraiser:
For full transparency, I am a white trans guy in Canada; I'm not personally affected by this law in any way. I just heard of this fundraiser and was like "holy shit, that's a dire situation" and wanted to help spread the word in some way, since I am not able to donate.
